Putting On Your Armor
Paul of the Bible told us that we should be putting on the full armor of God every day. Let’s look at what he said:
Ephesians 6:11 (NKJV)
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Every day I put on not only the basics but other robes and items which keep me covered and guarded against the powers of darkness. Recently, I have had a couple of people ask me what it is that I put on. I don’t believe in coincidences so the Lord must want me to share what I do. So here goes…
Here is how I pray most days…
“Father, I ask for the…
Full armor of God
The armor of thorns
The armor Light
I put on the robe of the beauty of Holiness
The robe of righteousness
The robe of Your Glory
The robe of Your Strength
The robe of success
The robe of immortality
The robe of Your tender mercies
The robe of Kindness, humility, meekness and long-suffering
I ask You Father to put every attribute you know I lack or am need for today.
I put on Holy Spirit
And more then all, I put on my friend Jesus”
Then I worship the Lord with all my heart, mind and soul. He is so worthy… Every morning, I worship the Lord, Daddy and Holy Spirit. We are commanded to worship our God in the Scriptures. To not worship Them is dishonoring and worse, breaks His commands to us. He is a King, God, our Father. Our Savior. He is worthy of our time and sacrifice.
It is important to remember when praying for anything, it is up to you to ask in faith. Knowing you will receive that which you ask.
John 14:13-14 (NKJV)
13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
Would a bee keeper go to work naked? Would a septic pumper put on his best suit to do his job? Each of us are different and we have different calls of God in ministry. Your suit may be slightly different then mine. Explore and expand your horizon with Holy Spirit and get creative. The goal is to have on what you need to live in a dark world.
So start off your day in prayer over what you are going to wear. Ask Holy Spirit, “What should I put on?” He will teach you. What excites me that you want to learn this is that you will probably wear a much different wardrobe. Have fun!
