I don’t want to hear it!

As the Body of Christ watches the world turn more and more to sin, don’t think for a moment that many Christians won’t turn and follow. Sin is a slippery, sensuous foe. It is persuasive and a liar. Sin will lead the strongest person who walks with Christ right into the pit.

I’m writing this article today as the Spirit of God is saying to me, “Tell the people to uncover their ears to My voice!”

Why would The Spirit say this? Just as a child will mimic the parents good or bad behavior, so will the Believer in Christ if there isn’t something in place to guard them.

Sin leaps…

The quickest test of whether this is true or not is to be around an angry person. Their sin, anger will leap if allowed. Notice I said, “If it’s allowed.” In the same way, if one sits in front of the television and watches news media that is lying, that person can receive the lie. Look around. This is exactly what is happening in America and abroad. People are being lied to and they are allowing those lies, sin, to enter them and change the way they think.

One of the most pervasive issues I see in the church is how sin causes the listeners to fall asleep the moment I begin to preach. They can’t help it. The people have allowed their sin to grow to the point that the sin within will put them to sleep. If you want to know the truth in this, sin possesses a person. The stronger the sin, the greater control it has over the person.

Depression is an issue of sin. It is a living thing. And it causes a person to not even want to get out of bed in the morning. For that person, who is in control? The person or their sin?
Anxiety causes a person to worry and believe that God won’t take care of their needs. Who is in control, the sin or the person?

A person who lives in poverty is bound to a living thing called poverty. Who is in control, the poverty mindset, the lie or the person? I hope this is making sense.

The Spirit of God says, “Uncover your ears! Listen to Me! I’m trying to get you out of your prison cell…”

What’s going on in your life? What is it that you are listening to? Are you offended with someone? Excellent. You are bound to your sin of offense. Are you angry with someone? Nice. You are bound to your sin called anger. Are you sick? Your sin is now in control of your flesh for a time.
