Depression isn’t what you think

There is an epidemic sweeping through many countries of the earth today and it is called anxiety. Worse, anxiety invites in a little friend called depression. I look at these two as being worse then the bubonic plague which killed off so many people over the centuries. It’s worse because the person who has anxiety often feels as if they are dying every day. I have good news if this is you. You do not need to have anxiety or depression. I don’t care what you have been taught. You have been lied to.

Depression is a form of torment to the person who has it. Please, know this; I have deep compassion for those who suffer with any type of debilitating issues. My desire is to help you get your life back again, but in order for that to happen, you are going to have to take a chance with me. More than likely you have looked into many avenues to get help, but the one I am about to teach you is the fix you are truly going to need. Unfortunately, most people who are sick or infirm do not want to deal with the truth about their lives. There is an old saying, “The truth hurts”. Just know you are already hurting, so lets get you over that hump in your life and move forward. The real question is “Are you willing?” Before we go any further, I want you to know that you are going to hear thoughts that are going to tell you to leave this teaching. If you choose to leave and not take in what you are about to be taught, your torment could last a long time. So… overrule your thoughts and just dare to believe what you are about to read.

Depression is a tormenting issue

Most people who have been struck with anxiety and depression have been told there is no fix. I can tell you that isn’t true at all. In fact, the ministry I am in has led multitudes of people out of both. You should know that anxiety and depression do not begin as a biological problem, but a spiritual one. Let me give you an example of how this works. If you were to tell a person they are ugly every day, it wouldn’t be long before their physical appearance would turn towards the very thing they have been told. What began as just a vapor, those words spoken, turned will turn into a physical issue if believed by the recipient. This is how the spiritual realm works. What we give voice to is going to become a reality if we don’t understand the spiritual side of it.

Our thoughts are the next playground for spiritual warfare. If I was to whisper into your ear day and night about your life, ugly things, it wouldn’t take me long to control it. This is how the demonic realm operates. They speak to us in first person. Another words, they speak to us as if their words are our thoughts. For example, If I said to you, “I have my job!” every day to you, you would soon hate your job. Even if it was the greatest job on the planet. These spirits are liars and that is all they do constantly; lie.

The first thing you need to get is that your depression began as a spiritual problem with you. In the Bible, there are a few spiritual truths you need to believe in order you find your life turned around. I am going to describe your life from a physical point of view so that I can teach you about the spiritual side of it.

Spiritual Truths:

You are either a vessel of honor or one of dishonor (Rom 9:21, 1Th 4:4, 2Tim 2:21, 1Ptr 3:7)

You are first spiritual than physical (1Cor 15:44)

You are either sinning before God or walking in righteousness

You are either manifesting your sin or you are manifesting that of God (Gal 5:5)

In the Bible, we are taught our lives are either vessels of honor or dishonor before God. In order to understand this concept, think of yourself as a clay vessel (or a pot). Further, think of your vessel as being about six feet tall. Now, I want you to think of who you are as a spirit that was poured into your vessel. That is the real you. Some day you are going to die and your spirit is going to leap out of your vessel (flesh) and either face demons or Heaven.

It is imperative you get this. You aren’t some random creation that is going to die some day. You are so intricate in design and God has made you individual from every other person on the planet for a reason. When you were created by God, you were given your own identity. The flesh you live in today is your temporary home. Think of it as a gift from God because it surely is. But some day, God is going to require your spirit back and you need to know, not being one of His is going to be a horrible mistake on your part. The world is filled with people who don’t believe in God or trust His Son Jesus. But they surely will when they take their last breath. Unfortunately it is too late at that time to change our minds. God is not a respecter of people. There are no second chances at our deaths.

Why is this important to know? Because the demonic realm wants you as one of theirs at the time of your death. God longs that you would turn to Him and trust His Son Jesus for your salvation. There is no other way. You can fight this all you want, but it is the truth. This is why our calendars are tied to the time of Christ, why Israel is the most looked at country on the planet and why so many hate the Jews. This is a spiritual battle of the highest magnitude.

What does this all have to do with anxiety or depression? I’m glad you asked.

Your vessel (flesh) is really a place to hold the building blocks of all spiritual gifts from God. First God places your spirit in the vessel. Then He adds a host of other spirits, such as, the Spirit of life. The spirit of breath. The list is long and I am not going to teach you that part right now. I want to focus on the spirits that are not of God.

In the midst of all of your spiritual ingredients, there can be contamination in you. For example, maybe you walk in anger. Some walk in wrath. The bad news is neither are from God. They are spirits from the kingdom of darkness. They have only one goal for you; division. They want to break down your marriage, your family, your job, your finances and ultimately lead you to your death. Anger is not a behavior or a genetic disposition. It is a demonic spirit. Angry people always regret what they said to someone out of anger. Often wondering why they even said what they did.

You might be asking yourself, “What does this have to do with my anxiety or depression?” Your vessel has in it some spirits that do not belong there. And they are leading you to a miserable life. Think of anxiety as a spirit that constantly tells you what to be anxious about. It will keep you on edge. The bad news is that this spirit will also change your physiology. Including your looks as it grows in stature.

How did it get in me?

Every spiritual ingredient that we carry is called sin by God. This is why He sent His Son Jesus to become a living sacrifice for us. God hates sin. He hates it when we serve it instead of Him. Most people who hear this turn away because they are reminded of their fathers who always made demands on their lives. The difference is God makes demands so that we will have peace and joy. But Satan wants us to hate God and see Him as a taskmaster. The reality is that Satan is the ultimate taskmaster.

We can serve God and be happy and peaceful or we can have a yoke of burden on our shoulders and live miserably. It’s a choice we all make every day. One life serves the kingdom of Light and the other serves the kingdom of darkness. It is that simple.

Jesus taught us that our strong man is one that is hard to get rid of. The reason for that is because we have fed the spirit until it is huge in stature, and it isn’t going to go without a fight. Of course, Jesus is stronger than any strong man we might have in us, but the battle is still very real.

Your vessel is holding spiritual ingredients, some good, others bad

Many people today walk with spiritual ingredients such as offense or bitterness. What they don’t realize is they aren’t just bad behaviors. They are issues of sin before God and are living spirits within them. What all of us need to know is these spiritual ingredients in our vessels will lead us to still waters or muddy places where we stay unclean before a Holy God. It would be good for us to realize that God wants to clean us up. But the average person will not pursue this.

Our lives should be about pursuing the Light. We should want as much as we can get. It begins by letting Jesus in. This has to be a first and foremost decision on our parts. When He enters into our hearts our lives change instantly. Where before, we were serving the darkness, with Jesus, the Light pushes it out of us.

Even right now your sin might be doing all it can to get you to leave this teaching. You should really overrule it. Tell it to shut up in the Name of Jesus. Even if you don’t know Jesus personally. It’s time for you to be healed.

The bible talks a lot about the Light..

Luke 11:34 (NKJV)
34 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness.

A person who has anxiety or depression is nothing more than a sinner before a holy God. For us, this means we have allowed a living spirit, who has a name, to come in an dwell within us. Anxiety is a living spirit. So is depression. When a person has both, their lives are a living nightmare. These two spirits will make life a living hell. By the way, they also will lead a person to their death at a younger age than what God had planned for them.

Some people with anxiety and depression hear voices all day and night. Just know these are living spirits within and they need to go.

I want to finish up here by telling you why you have anxiety and depression. You should know that God never intended you to be suffering. But He sent His Son Jesus to the earth because you are. People who walk with a spirit of anxiety and depression are people who do not know God or His Son on a personal basis. If they did, they would trust them with their lives. When we refuse to see God and Jesus the way God intended we are left out on our own with no hope.

God will take care of every need you have. I don’t care what it is. God has made you a promise. He will take care of you. But there is a condition. You have to believe it and not doubt. The moment you doubt you are done.

Think of hope as something written on a big whiteboard in Heaven. You go there in prayer and write down your need. God sees it and begins to make plans for your need to be met. Then a demonic spirit comes along, in this case its name is doubt and it whispers into your ear, “You are going to end up on the street if you don’t pay your rent!” The moment you fuss over that word, maybe running to the phone to call people to help you, that original prayer is erased in Heaven. It is that simple. This is a spiritual battle you are in and if you want out, you need to know what the rules of engagement are.

God wants to bless your life. Jesus wants to walk with you and help you. Holy Spirit wants to guide and comfort you. What are you willing to do?

What amazes me is there are people who would rather be anxious and depressed than trust God. And truly, God isn’t going to lose any sleep over that decision. He is a God and a King. I don’t know of any king on the earth who would lose sleep over one of his people because they don’t like how he rules. God isn’t indifferent to that person, and will still do all He can to turn the heart towards Him, but there is a point when God moves on.

Depression is a state of general unhappiness or despondency

If you are a person suffering with anxiety or depression you are in a general state of unhappiness. The spirit of depression has lied to you about your life and you came into agreement with it. Even going so far as helping you fulfill their lies. The ploy of the spirit of depression is to keep you in a place of not having any hope towards your future. Does this sound familiar to you? Do you know the Bible actually talks about depression? Let me show you what it says;

Proverbs 12:25 (NKJV) 25 Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.

God knows that you have been hooked with a sin issue. And He has said, “Even a good word in your life can set you free of it.”

You are getting your good word right now. God wants to heal you. He wants to forgive you for allowing this awful sin to enter your life where you would serve it instead of Him. But God requires us to get healed on His terms, not our own. If you are reading this and just refuse to believe it, you are going to have a rough life. Your sin is going to do all it can to make sure you don’t go any further in trying to understand what it really is. Right onw, you only have two choices. You can trust this teaching and move forward towards your healing or you can turn away back to the darkness. Just know I care about your life and so does God. Jesus is standing right next to you waiting to see how you will respond.

You are an incredible human being made by God for His Glory. You are filled with wonders of who He is, but you have allowed some ingredients to get in which should never have gotten there. Satan is very real and He is ticked right now. He knows you have a choice. He will do whatever it takes to hang on to you. But know this, no matter how hard the fight is, Jesus will win if you will just trust Him.

Are you ready to get set free? Here are the steps you need to take…

  • First, you need to realize you really are a sinner. Someone who lets sin take control of their actions
  • You need to go to someone who knows God and is a believer in Jesus Christ
  • You need to confess this sin of depression and anything else that needs to go. Be honest. “I have depression, anxiety, fear, worry, stress, trepidation…”
  • Ask Jesus to forgive you for every allowing those ingredients into your vessel, worse serving them instead of Him
  • Then have the person who you have confessed all this to, pray for you. Have them bind up the spirits that have been confessed and then have them cast them out
  • After, have them plead the Blood of Jesus into you so that you will be made clean

You are going to feel the freedom instantly. But only if you are real with Jesus. When I take people through deliverance, I will always ask them, look for your sin. The only time they can find it is when they refuse to let it go. Some people love the fact they are broken and refuse to let God heal them. What a mistake.

James 5:16 (NKJV) 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Right now, you might be thinking, “I don’t know if I believe any of this.” You don’t have to. Just know your depression and all the other sin will be more than happy if you don’t. My job isn’t to convince you of anything. My job is to tell you the truth. Then it is between you and God.

Know this, God loves you more than you could possibly understand. He wants for you to believe His promises which He has made for you. All you have to do is take a chance. Truly, you already trust your sin. Maybe it’s time you trust God instead. Give Him a chance and He will prove Himself to you.

Maybe you are suffering with other ingredients worse than your depression. The rules of engagement are the same as listed above. Get to someone who cares about you and get delivered of your sin.
