Change Your Words

The gift of healing is given to men to show the Power, Mercy and Grace of God to forgive.

The Body of Christ often makes excuses as to why they are sick or filled with disease. The truth is that it comes as a result of sin. The Bible makes this very clear. As well, it makes it very clear that God is the One who sends or removes it. This is why the Bible also says we should fear the Lord God Almighty. Not some fear out of reverence, but a fear that God can do whatever He wants.

His delivery system is the demonic realm. You might remember that it is God who Created all things and that He is Sovereign over all.

Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Col 1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
Col 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

years I was taught sin was a bad behavior before God. While that is true, what was not taught is what sin really is. Sin is not just some inanimate behavior. It’s a living thing and creates in us a desire to do something that is contrary to the Precepts of God.

Paul made a very interesting comment in his writings found in the Bible. It might be one you’ve read many times. Found in his letter to the Ephesian church, Paul wrote;

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual [hosts] of wickedness in the heavenly [places.] Eph 6:12

Paul was given great revelation about the inner workings of Heaven. We know Paul was a very educated man and well versed in the Scriptures. For him to make this comment is breathtaking. It is packed with the revelation we should desire to understand so that we can overcome the many obstacles we face in life.

Looking at the beginning of his statement, he says, “For we do not!”

The “do not” is the substance of what I desire you learn today. Paul is saying we “do not” wrestle with flesh or blood. Yet don’t we live in a world where it’s all about our flesh and blood? Paul is speaking out something that seems so contrary to what we have been taught since childhood.

“Don’t go out without a jacket! You’ll catch a cold…”

“It’s flu season, you should go get a shot!”

“Oh, I don’t eat that! It’s bad for our heart…”
We make all these comments which you should know become legal transactions in Heaven.

We bind ourselves legally with Heaven when we make right or wrong declarations over our lives. Every single word you speak out is weighed in the Spiritual realm.

Including when you speak out against others or yourself.

Wrongful judgments of others

Being a false witness

Walking in worry and stress and speaking it out

It’s all about our words. And we are judged by them.

Matt 12:36 “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
Matt 12:37 “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

The demonic realm loves it when we speak wrongly before God and one another. They know something we don’t. That we will be judged. What we also don’t know is it is them that will bring the law suit against us.

The devil is a liar. His kingdom is filled with demonic spirits who are all liars. They don’t know how to tell the truth. They can’t! They have no truth in them. As a result, we are bombarded with lies every day. Worse, they drive us to speak things out of our mouths that we should never utter.

These demonic spirits will lead us to be at odds with one another. They do this through vain imaginations, manifesting through others, and worse, by speaking through our own lips towards others.

We are not wrestling with flesh and blood. The sin in us and others is awful, and it causes man to do and say the most ridiculous things against each other. All these things are being done before a God who judges us by the same measure we sin against others.

Are you sick? Do you have some disease? Are you infirm? You are not wrestling with your own flesh or blood. Instead, you are wrestling with a legal transaction which some demonic spirit has presented before the Lord in Heaven. You have been sued and lost.

Jesus taught this Himself. Let me show you;

Matt 5:25 “Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.
Matt 5:26 “Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny.

First off, you need to understand that Jesus never preached about things of the physical. He always spoke of things in the Spirit. Your adversary is the kingdom of darkness. The demonic realm.

You can also find more of this in the book of Revelation. Let’s look;

Rev 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
Rev 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

This is still going on even this day. The demonic realm is always looking to grow and multiply and they do this through the courtroom of Heaven. All because we continue to sin before a Holy God.

When He says, “Do not worry!” He isn’t making a suggestion. If you do, you are being sued in Heaven.

“Do not gossip!” When you do, you are being sued in Heaven.

“Do not be a false witness!” And you do…

Why do you think God told us not to do these things? So that we wouldn’t manifest the sin that is in us. Allowing it to ruin other people’s lives. Let alone ours.

When we breach the Word of God, we will be sued and found guilty. And the demonic spirit who sued us will be given a legal right to our flesh. Sickness and infirmity and disease will show up sooner then later. They are unclean spirits and the sickness will always represent the error before God.

Why is it then that people aren’t healed after receiving prayer? Simply stated, they didn’t repent or care enough to ask to be forgiven for their transgression.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve led people to pray to the Lord asking to be forgiven and all I hear is the words. There isn’t any brokenness in their heart for what they have done. All they want is their healing. Needless to say, Jesus isn’t going to grant forgiveness to a heart that doesn’t care about the sin.
As well, many people refuse to follow the commandments of God in the Word with regards to sickness.

James taught a very clear instruction to a sick person. Call the elders. Have them anoint you will oil and then have them pray. For the prayers of a righteous man avail much.

How does this actually work? When we ask for the elders, we are humbling ourselves and preparing to confess our sin before them and the Lord. Then we get anointed with oil which is a work of the Holy Spirit. A covering. Much like when the Holy Spirit covered the void at the time of Creation.

Then the prayers cast that demonic spirit out. The uncleanness goes with it.

When we don’t follow this teaching, we will run the course of the sickness until the Last Penny is paid according to Paul.

Do you ever wonder why a cold lasts seven days? It has nothing to do with a cold virus dying in seven days. It is the appointed time by God for breaching his Word with regards to worry.
