Bold Prayers That Avail Much
Have you looked around the earth lately? The reason there is so much failure and devastation is because the body of Christ is afraid to pray boldly. This magnificent God we serve is not weak, nor is He holding back His desire to move on our behalf. It is time for us to pray boldly. I want to share with you some truths out of the Bible and then I am going to show you some examples of prayers you can begin to pray yourself. The question is this, will you be bold and declare your needs, but also the needs of others every single day? I hope so. Change your daily habits to make prayer like a hobby to you. If you treat prayer like a hobby, you will chase after it every waking moment.
2 Chronicles 6:40-42 (NKJV)
40 Now, my God, I pray, let Your eyes be open and let Your ears be attentive to the prayer made in this place.
41 “Now therefore, Arise, O LORD God, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength. Let Your priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, And let Your saints rejoice in goodness.
42 “O LORD God, do not turn away the face of Your Anointed; Remember the mercies of Your servant David.”
As we begin to look at some methods for righteous prayer, I want to point out a couple of scriptures for you which will help you become bold in speaking out.
John 14:13-14 (NKJV)
13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
Most believers pray and hope for the best. There is no faith in those types of prayers. In fact, God tells us in the book of James that prayers which are laced with doubt will not be answered. Not at all. Think of it this way… If you ask God to supply a need in your life and then when it doesn’t come the next day, you begin to doubt He is going to supply it, your prayer has already been erased in Heaven. He will not bless a double-minded person who prays. God wants you to live by faith and exercise it daily.
Job 22:27-28 (NKJV)
27 You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, And you will pay your vows.
28 You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.
This is one of my favorite passages regarding prayer and declaration. Here is how it works:
“Father, I declare my household will serve You all the days of our lives.” That is a legal and binding declaration to God. When you make that type of a declaration, you are also making a vow to God. And He requires us to pay our vows.
What about a prayer such as:
“Father, I declare the spirit of confusion to go and thwart the plans of every person making bombs in Iraq to destroy Your children. I declare failure and lack of success in their lives now in Jesus Name. I release Your angels to go now and do the word of the Lord prayed forth here.”
Do you think God would honor that prayer? Of course He would. It is the will of the Father that evil and wickedness on the earth be destroyed. He finds no pleasure in it. Nor should we.
Could you be even bolder in your faith? Just remember, you are going to have tremendous authority in what you pray for. I would make sure you aren’t praying spiritual witchcraft, your will, instead of His.
“Father, I send the spirit of confusion over every group of evil and wicked people on the earth who want to destroy your body. I uphold every Christian in the middle east and set a hedge of thorns around every single one of them. I set a Blood line of Jesus around every single Christian in Iraq right now. I declare no harm will come to Your people. I declare no weapon formed against Your people will prevail. I declare the enemy to be turned around and that they will be thwarted at every turn until they are no more. I declare these petitions in the Name of Jesus, Your Son. And Father, I thank You for what You are about to do.”
It’s time to get bold with your faith. Will you make these types of prayers a daily occurrence in your life?
Pray boldly and watch what Your King will do because of your righteousness to save souls and people who are in need.
As you read or hear how God has responded to your faith, leave a comment. We would love to see your faith.
